Gather receipts/documentation for upgrades or renovations

Prepare recent comparable sales (comps) for your neighborhood

Appraisal Day

Ensure all rooms, garage, attic, and basement are accessible

Provide a ‘Property Highlights Packet’ (upgrades, comps, features)

Keep the home bright, quiet, and tidy during the visit

Be available for questions, but give the appraiser space to work

After the Appraisal

Review the report for accuracy (square footage, features, comps)

Keep a copy of documentation and report for future use

If value seems low, prepare your evidence for reconsideration
