The FSBO Listing Strategy

As a FSBO, a strategy for your home’s residential real estate market listing is:

  1. Thoroughly prep all of your marketing information, material, both online and offline. Take special effort towards copy, photos and videos.
  2. Prepare all independent platforms/sites to accept your home’s listing.
  3. List your home with an MLS flat-fee broker. It should be live and syndicated in 1-3 days.
  4. Go live on all of your independent platforms/sites and offline marketing (yard sign, etc.).

This strategy is as opposed to ‘testing the waters’ or attempting to use the MLS as a later vehicle. Those two approaches can cause other marketing problems, particularly with your Days On Market (DOM).
